On this adventure-filled Outdoors Edition of Ryunohara Retreats we’ll hike, swim, paddle board, barbecue under the stars, and get our bodies going.

Day 1
Meet up at Kii-Tanabe Station at 2pm.
Stop by Kizzekyo Gorge for our first waterfall and sound meditation.
Check in to Ryunohara Hatago, introductions over a Welcome Drink
A lesson in setting up a fire for your outdoors onsen bath
Yakiniku dinner under the stars

Day 2
Electric mountain bike tour of Ryujinmura Village.
Paddleboard down the Hidakagawa River that flows in front of Ryunohara and floating lunch
Rejuvenate in the outdoors onsen
BBQ and stew over a campfire

Day 3
Waterfall meditation at a sacred waterfall in use by ascetic monks for over 1,000 years.
Fish gutting, skewering, and grilling lesson from one of the most experienced fishermen in our area - a 14-year-old high schooler
Enjoy freshly-caught wild sweetfish over a binchotan charcoal fire

Day 4
Hike a nature reserve with multiple waterfalls. Lunch by a waterfall after plunging into the natural pool.
Foot-operated boat ride in a reservoir
10-course traditional Japanese dinner indoors to make up for the energy spent the last few days.

Breakfast, check out at 10am
Arrive at Kii-Tanabe Station by 11am for your journey onwards.
